Naples. Ambulance without insurance coverage seized by municipal police.
Local police officers in Naples stopped the ambulance for a routine check but made a surprising discovery: in just one day it had been used for 22 interventions.
The rescue vehicle was found to have no insurance coverage and was placed under administrative seizure.
The check was carried out by agents of the Vomero Operative Unit in via Pansini, in the hospital area of Naples reached every day by hundreds of emergency vehicles coming not only from the city but also from the province. In a few minutes the agents ascertained that that ambulance had been engaged in emergency interventions 22 times on the same day. But it did not have RCA coverage.
