
Naples. The man responsible for first damaging several vehicles, including taxis, firefighter cars, and police cars, and then a reckless wrong-way chase along the seafront has been arrested.
His "exploits" went viral on social media thanks to recordings and sharing by some people present at the scene. Martin Dittrich, a 36-year-old Slovenian with a police record, was arrested for resisting a public official, assault, and charged with aggravated damage to public property.
Last night, Municipal Police personnel, while passing through Piazza Trieste e Trento, were approached by two taxi drivers who pointed out a car with a man in it that, shortly before, had hit their taxis; the officers ordered the driver to stop, who, performing dangerous maneuvers to escape control, hit their car and managed to get away.

At that moment, a crew from the Naples Police Headquarters on duty to control the city's nightlife intervened by positioning their service car in front of the man's vehicle, who accelerated and rammed them.
The result was a chase that ended in via Partenope when the fugitive, after having collided with a police car belonging to the San Ferdinando police station, was finally blocked.
