The investigating judge of Naples has ordered house arrest for the senator Louis Cesaro to whom the investigators are accusing the crimes of external complicity in Camorra association.
The measure, notified to Cesaro by the Carabinieri, will have to be submitted to the Senate for approval. Luigi Cesaro's lawyers, professor and lawyer Alfonso Furgiuele and lawyer Michele Sanseverino, reports a note, “after having examined the content of the order implementing the precautionary measure issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples, Dr. Miranda, they note first of all that the PM's office has already revised the original precautionary request, calling for house arrest instead of precautionary custody in prison. However, following an initial rapid examination of the motivation for the measure, they believe that it deserves firm censure, both in terms of the seriousness of the evidence and the existence and current permanence of the precautionary needs”.
"Therefore, - conclude Furgiuele and Sanseverino – regardless of the decision that will be adopted by the Senate regarding the request for authorization to arrest, they intend to immediately propose a request for re-examination to the Court of Liberty of Naples”.
