Napoli. "The colonnade of the church of San Francesco di Paola in Piazza del Plebiscito has become an immense public urinal. The stench produced by the 'needs' left by the uncivilized as an everlasting reminder of their arrogance and lack of love for the city is now unbearable. Walking through these places is a humiliation especially because it is the destination of astonished tourists who witness this degradation and remain disgusted by the pitiful spectacle. To frame this indecency, piles of waste everywhere.
Bags, cans, bottles and all the leftovers from improvised picnics by those who then believe they should leave everything on the ground. We consider both the behavior of the dirty people who behave in this manner unacceptable, as well as the carelessness with which the cultural, artistic and architectural heritage of the city is protected. It is unthinkable that the symbolic places of Naples are reduced in this manner, between abandonment, lack of controls and incivility”.
This is the complaint of the regional councilor of Europa Verde, Francesco Emilio Borrelli, and of the councilors of the I Municipality Benedetta Sciannimanica and Gianni Caselli, who carried out an inspection of the arcades.
