Naples. The Carabinieri have placed the 56-year-old under arrest by the PM Gaetano Scutellaro, the now well-known one tobacconist of Materdei. Winning €500 Scratch and Win ticket seized.
The Carabinieri of the Naples Stella Company have executed the arrest ordered by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Naples of Gaetano Scutellaro, in relation to the crimes of aggravated theft and attempted extortion against a woman who won a scratch-off ticket worth 500.000 at a tobacconist's in Naples.
It was also recovered from a bank branch in the city of Latina and place the ticket is confiscated object of theft.
“I had an acquaintance of mine buy the ticket the day before, I only asked the lady to go and collect the winnings which I thought were only 500 euros. I wanted to escape abroad because I don't feel safe in Naples. I'm not the tobacconist, but the ex-husband of the owner”, Scutellaro had told the site in the morning iNews24.it, trying to defend himself and realizing that the situation had now worsened.
“After scratching I noticed I had won, but I thought it was only 500 euros. I asked the lady a favor, if she could collect it for me,” he insists.
But when the woman, as Scutellaro had always tried to reconstruct, was late in leaving the shop with the money, he allegedly approached her and asked her “what had happened and she told me that I had to go to the bank to collect my winnings. I had the coupon given to me and left. This was all recorded by the tobacconist's cameras”.

And then he explained that he had tried to get away from Naples “out of fear, I hadn’t even read the news about the lady’s complaint.”
