Naples. "Despite the numerous reports and protests that have been going on for years, two enormous tower cranes, present in two long-abandoned construction sites, respectively in San Martino and in via Aniello Falcone, have not yet been removed, spoiling, in both cases, the wonderful panorama of the city that can be admired from the hill."
Raising the age-old problem once again is Gennaro Capodanno, president of the Valor collinari Committee, former president of the Vomero District.
On windy days – Capodanno emphasizes – the towers of both cranes swing fearfully, while the long arm rotates on itself, causing the hook hanging from the same arm to sway.”
"It is also expressed - continues Capodanno -, given that they have been there exposed to the elements for years, the concern that, precisely due to the action of the wind as well as other atmospheric agents, some parts of the cranes could detach and fall ruinously to the ground, with imaginable consequences."
New Year once again urges the intervention of the competent offices, with the speed of the case, both for the necessary and appropriate checks and to make known the reasons why the aforementioned cranes, after so many years, also due to their particular location and the problems highlighted, have not yet been removed.
