Napoli. “At the entrance to the gardens on Via Ruoppolo we met Maestro Cristian De Liso, a musician who also works in St. Petersburg, who decided to give a moment of joy and entertainment to the citizens of Naples. Cristian has in fact placed a piano inside the municipal gardens, freely available to anyone who wants to play it.
An initiative that recalls the one promoted in the train stations but, perhaps, it is the first time that it is promoted by a single citizen, with the aim of spreading culture, beauty and love for music in the city. But despite the social value of this project, Cristian, after having presented all the necessary paperwork, discovered that he had to pay more than €155 (daily rate) for the occupation of public land.
A tax to give music and culture to citizens, when instead hundreds of illegals are left free to commit crimes throughout the city every day. We are convinced that such actions must be supported by the public administration and we are shocked when we see the obstacles that bureaucracy places on meritorious initiatives. The time has come to say enough.
We want the rules to be respected by everyone and that citizens who want to do charitable initiatives are guaranteed free admission. The Cosap Revenue Office should make people pay for illegal occupations carried out by charlatans and delinquents. The Administration should favor artists who, with charitable actions, become protagonists of the cultural rebirth of our Naples”. These are the words of Francesco Emilio Borrelli, Regional Councilor of Europa Verde and of Rino Nasti, councilor of the V Municipality.
