On Wednesday, on behalf of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Naples, the Flying Squad executed a custodial remand order issued by the GIP at the Court of Naples against a 41 year old Neapolitan criminal, held responsible for aggravated robbery committed on the evening of March 1, 2020 inside the Carrefour supermarket of via Antonio Solaro in the Arenella district, during which – disguised and armed with a gun – he forced an employee to hand over part of her takings and then fled.
The measure is the result of a complex investigation carried out by the State Police and coordinated by the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office, in which the contribution of a policeman that, free from service, had intervened immediately after the events, placing himself at thechase of the robber and managing to clearly capture his physical features, although the latter had managed to disappear by fleeing on a moped.
The investigations were conducted through the extrapolation and analysis of the images of the video surveillance systems, the checks on the license plates detected and the statements made by the people present at the events, which allowed us to crystallise the various phases of the criminal episode and to trace the identity of the person in charge against whom a serious circumstantial evidence has emerged.
