The Carabinieri of the Naples Provincial Command and the Naples Municipal Police – Abandoned Vehicle Unit – continue to work to combat abandoned motorcycles and cars.
The vehicles – in an evident state of abandonment as well as being uninsured or stolen – block the roads and remain sidelined for months, resulting in an eyesore for the city.
The operations – carried out over a 24-hour period by the Carabinieri of the Naples Center company and the abandoned vehicles unit of the municipal police – focused on Via Santa Caterina da Siena and Salita Vetriera in the Spanish Quarters. A total of 30 vehicles were removed: 26 mopeds and 4 cars. The vehicles were abandoned or stolen.
This service has allowed the streets of the neighborhood to be cleaned and will continue in the coming days and in other areas of the city.
The Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Naples and the Municipal Police of Partenopea invite all citizens to contact the police to report the presence of vehicles abandoned on the streets, often without insurance.
