The Provincial Command of the Guard of Finance of Naples, during a series of inspections carried out between the capital and the metropolitan area, seized 3.386.000 “unsafe” articles and lacking the minimum safety certifications and information for the consumer, such as the manufacturer and the description of the characteristics in Italian.

In particular, the Group of Financial Police of Nola, during two separate operations, between Nola and Piazzolla di Nola, seized two different shops lighting items and non-food products managed by Chinese citizens, 3.250.000 items including electrical goods, beauty products, ornamental accessories, aquarium, office and school products that are unsafe, of dubious origin, of uncertain manufacture and potentially dangerous to health.

The documentation provided and the information reported on the articles, freely displayed on the shelves for sale, were not found to be sufficient to guarantee authenticity and safety.

Still in the province, they were seized by the financial police of the Frattamaggiore Group, at a Chinese Emporium of Caivano, over 130.000 items unsafe for household use.

Finally, the "Green Berets" of the Pronto Impiego Group of Naples during a service against illegal commercial activity in Carolina Square – corner of Via Chiaia, an area forbidden to street trading, they seized over 6.000 pieces of glasses and cell phone covers without brands or with clearly counterfeit brands.
Overall, four people were sanctioned, 2 were reported to the Judicial Authority and the same number were reported to the Chamber of Commerce for administrative violations.

These results are also part of the intensification of activities for the prevention and repression of counterfeiting and related phenomena ordered during the summer by the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples.
