Napoli. Yesterday morning the officers of the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station, while passing through via Duomo, were approached by a passerby who said she had seen two people tinkering with the vending machines of a commercial establishment in via dei Tribunali.
The police officers provided the Operations Centre with a description of the two men and, shortly afterwards, a patrol car from the General Prevention Office, which arrived near the commercial activity, intercepted the two men. thugs who attempted to escape but were stopped and found in possession of two screwdrivers, a lock pick and 37 euros in coins.
Furthermore, the operators have ascertained that in the car in use by one of the two, parked nearby, there were other tools suitable for burglary and a PC while in the premises they verified that one of the vending machines showed signs of forced entry.
SG, 50 years old from Casoria, and Francesco Leone, a 27-year-old Neapolitan with a criminal record, were arrested for attempted aggravated theft.
