Naples, an open-air landfill behind Monaldi

Behind the Monaldi hospital in Naples there is a real open-air landfill. It is via Croce where tires, bulky items, furniture and various waste have been abandoned. The alarm was raised by Fiorella Zabatta, national co-President of Europa Verde, who documented the serious situation through a film.

"This is an ecological bomb that is harmful to the environment and the population. How was it possible that such an open-air landfill was allowed to be created? We have asked Asia for urgent clean-up interventions but now it is also necessary to start planning and preventing by installing camera traps to trap and punish the polluters. Without punishment, the phenomenon can hardly be stopped.” – declared the Regional Councilor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli and Fiorella Zabatta.
