In recent days, officers from the General Prevention Office, during their territorial control service, while passing through Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi noticed a man on an electric bike who handed over a cell phone to a person in exchange for money.
The police caught up and stopped the cyclist, finding him in possession of 4 cell phones whose origin he could not justify, one of which was found to be stolen, while the buyer managed to disappear.
The officers also carried out a check in Via Milano at the man's home where they surprised two people who were leaving the apartment with two backpacks on their shoulders and, at the sight of them, attempted to flee.
The two were caught and stopped and one of them was found in possession of 280 euros while, inside the backpacks and in the house, 2 PDAs, 2 PCs, 8 tablets and 135 cell phones were found, many of which were of dubious origin, several still sealed and others found to be stolen.
Buaffo Kuadoo and Abudul Akim Madu, 42 and 32 years old with police records, and IS, 24 years old, Ghanaians illegally on the national territory, were subjected to PG arrest for receiving stolen goods which was validated by the Judicial Authority which ordered the precautionary custody in prison investigated, while the electric bike was seized; finally, the 24-year-old was also reported for illegal entry and stay in the territory of the State.
