Santa Maria Capua Vetere. A meeting of extraordinary importance for the future of Santa Maria Capua Vetere was held on Friday: at the State Property Agency of Naples, another concrete step was reached on the path that will lead to the construction of the new Hospital in the former Andolfato barracks.
Present at the table, in addition to Mayor Antonio Mirra and his colleague from Capua Luca Branco, were the Ministry of Defense with Gen. Caccamo, the Campania Region with Vice President Bonavitacola, the General Management of the ASL with Dr. Russo and the State Property Agency with Eng. Laferola.
The Ministry of Defense has given its availability to the disposal of an area of the former Andolfato barracks which will then return to the State Property Agency and will then be sold to the Campania Region for the construction of the Capua Vetere and Nuova hospital which will satisfy the healthcare needs of a user base of approximately 150.000 thousand inhabitants; immediately after, the ASL will be able to start the procedures for the design of the hospital structure. A process that will be formalized shortly, in the next few weeks, with the signing of a protocol between all interested parties.
