Possession of an address of Certified mail (PEC) has become mandatory by law for all members of professional associations: even the Journalists they are therefore required to have one, otherwise they are sanctioned with the suspension.
“This suspension – recalls the online magazine Giornalisti punto ea capo” – entails – in addition to the impossibility of practicing the profession, that is, of working as a journalist – also the cancellation from the electoral lists and consequently journalists without PEC will not be able to vote this year at Odg elections (13 and 14 October online voting and 17 October in person at the polling station, ed.), nor in the future to those of other category bodies (Casagit, for example).
Obtaining a PEC is not difficult. The regional Orders have on their respective websites the box to activate the PEC (in Lazio it is free) or at the link https://attivazione.pecgiornalisti.it it is possible to activate the automatic procedure for requesting PEC. In all cases, just follow the instructions with a little patience and attention”.
To avoid suspension from the lists, journalists who already have their own PEC must communicate it to their Regional order, following the instructions on the relevant website.
Each regional Order must have an address prepared. The new PEC, or the communication to the OdG of its own already active PEC, must be made by September 22nd, otherwise the cancellation from the electoral lists will be triggered anyway. Holders of Pec issued by the various Orders are exempted from the obligation to communicate.
