Ottaviano. The students of the nursery school and the first cycle (primary and middle school) of Ottaviano will be subjected to the rapid salivary swab in the 48 hours before the start of the lessons. The initiative is by the municipal administration, which has promoted a health prevention campaign for covid-19 for the entire school audience attending the three comprehensive institutes of the territory, through the implementation of a widespread screening at the schools within 48 hours before the resumption of the school year.
Absolutely non-invasive swabs will be used, which even the youngest children can undergo and which guarantee a very high reliability. School directors, in these hours, are transmitting the total number of students who will be tested, then the screening will begin.
"We believe that this initiative is fundamental to starting school safely. We want to guarantee all students - and their families - a safe start, and then continue with daily monitored attendance, avoiding from day one that the existence of asymptomatic positives could immediately create potential outbreaks in the classes involved", declare the mayor Luca Capasso and the education councilor Virginia Nappo.
