Appointment Saturday September 11 e Sunday September 12 2021 to Macerata Campania Pastellessa Folk Festival.
The "Bottari Festival“, now in its third edition, will host around 200 bottari who will perform typical local and Terra di Lavoro songs to the sound of barrels, vats and sickles. The event organised by the Sant'Antuono & le Battuglie di Pastellessa Association, with the patronage of the Municipality of Macerata Campania, aims to enhance the popular culture of the “pastellessa battles”, intangible cultural heritage of the Macerata community, giving the groups participating in the Feast of Sant'Antuono the opportunity to perform on stage.
During the event, which will take place in the Market Area in Via G. Carducci starting at 20 pm, 12 “battuglie di pastellessa” will be performed, divided into two evenings according to the following program:
Saturday 11rd September: The Company of 2011, The sounds of Sant'Antuono, The boys of 2000, Pastellesse Sound Group, The Wagliun ra vie 'e for, 'A storia 'e Sant'Antuono.
Sunday September 12th: Ancient Sounds, 'U carro 'e Casavr, The little company of the exclamation point, 'O ritorno 'e Sant'Antuono, 'A passione 'e Sant'Antuono, 'U carr' 'e vasc' 'o vasto.
During the event, the documentary film “Free us from evil” by Luigi Ferraiuolo.
