The Carabinieri of Pomigliano d'Arco, province of Naples, stopped a 36-year-old local man already known to the police.
The man was reported for assault and violence against a public official.
The arrested man is currently awaiting trial. The military – alerted by 112 – initially intervened to resolve a family dispute.
The man had attacked his partner and the woman's 17-year-old daughter and, having injured his hand with a kitchen knife, was stopped and arrested by the carabinieri.
During the operations the man tried to lunge at his partner again. At that point, it was necessary for another patrol of the Carabinieri to intervene to stop the 36-year-old.
