The event promises to be a true “cultural big bang” between visual arts, music and cinema with dozens of street artists who will meet on the slopes of the volcano.

Convinced that contemporaneity is a form of projection of ancient civilization, the director and creator of the festival Nello Petrucci invited three of the main exponents of international Street Art: m-city, C215 e Francisco Bosoletti.

Christian Guémy, alias C215, is recognized as one of the best stencil artists around, his works have been exhibited alongside those of Banksy, Space Invader and Obey; Francisco Bosoletti, is an author influenced by Neapolitan Baroque and Florentine Renaissance art; Mariusz Waras, better known as M-City, is known for the stencil technique of his murals that tell the story of the metropolis in all its declinations.

In Pompeii they will create three new works specifically designed for the city, in which they will work on Wall 1, 2 and 6 (in Piazzale Schettini and Via Lepanto respectively). Their arrival is announced as a sort of creative residence in the heart of the city, in contact with the people for at least a week.

The artists will work on their murals all day, an artistic marathon to complete the work in the time allowed. The other space starring in the creative performances, wall 7 in via Lepanto, will be divided into portions of length between 7 and 9 meters assigned to 12 artists, selected from the Call to Artists, coming from Europe.

Pompei Street Festival will not only be a call to the arts for visual culture. Petrucci has gathered around him a team composed of Alfonso
Todisco (Street Music); Andrea Valentino (Street Cinema); Chiara Canali, (Street Art).

Their work will be supported by Civitates Pompei, an association strongly committed to social issues. Pompei Street Music will offer concerts, live music, DJ sets; from classical music to electronic, passing through jazz and pop, the sounds will invade the new city where you can attend jam sessions. The first edition of the Pompei Street Cinema Festival It is also dedicated to auteur films with documentaries and short films by some of the protagonists of contemporary cinematography. Finally, during all three days, there will be workshops, seminars, meetings and debates to reiterate the sustainability and importance of street art.
