San Giorgio a Cremano. A violent attack on Roman researcher Beatrice Orlando in Tortora: four people—two men and two women—from San Giorgio a Cremano, in the province of Naples, were arrested and charged with attempted robbery and serious assault.
I military personnel from the Scalea Carabinieri Company, supported by personnel from the Torre del Greco Carabinieri Company, have executed a precautionary custody order for house arrest, issued by the investigating judge of the Paola Court Rosamaria Mesiti, at the request of the local Public Prosecutor's Office, against four suspects, considered jointly responsible for "attempted robbery and aggravated personal injury". The precautionary measure arises from an investigative activity developed by the Praia a Mare Carabinieri station in the province of Cosenza and coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Paola, directed by Prosecutor Pierpaolo Bruni on the attempted robbery and violent assault.
The targets were two men, BG and BC, aged 45 and 72 respectively, and two women, ML aged 70 and SA aged 40. As reconstructed by the Carabinieri, on 4 August last, the victim, Beatrice Lucrezia Orlando, after having looked after some stray dog puppies, was the target of death threats, which were extended to her family and to the puppies she had just looked after and brought with her so that she could later entrust them to a volunteer association.
The second episode took place on August 6, while the Roman researcher was on her bike. According to the investigators' reconstruction, they first tried to take away the woman's cell phone and then attacked her. Although the victim had fallen to the ground, the aggression continued violently and the woman was punched all over her body. Once taken to the hospital, the victim was found to have bruises, multiple hematomas and a head injury.
The victim herself shared a photo of her swollen face, denouncing what had happened to her.
The investigations ordered by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Paola and carried out by the military of the Carabinieri station of Praia a Mare led to the restrictive measure against the suspects, traced by the Carabinieri of Scalea in San Giorgio a Cremano.
