The Fifth Edition of the SABANTOI International Festival will take place between September 10 and 12, 2021, in Mangalia, a Romanian city on the Black Sea. The event, sponsored and organized by the Tatar Democratic Union with the support of the Department for Interethnic Relations of the Government of Romania, is being held.
The heart of the Festival will be the “GRAN PRIX OF KURASH – WORLD CUP”, an event in honor of the President of Uzbekistan. Many countries will participate in SABANTOI 2021, thirty-six of them with official delegations.
The show of “music, dance and traditions”, in addition to delighting the audience, aims to preserve and promote the culture and traditions of the invited countries, to give a valuable contribution to mutual knowledge and respect, as well as promote the Festival at an international level.

“SABANTOI FESTIVAL 2021” will have a rich program of games and sports of Turkish-Tatar origin, which the Tatar Democratic Union wants to preserve in comparison with other sports disciplines. This is because the Festival wants to become more and more a point of reference for interethnic comparison of sports, culture, gastronomy and entertainment.
The final aim is to promote dialogue between different cultures, with the comparison between representatives of diplomatic missions, official delegations and State institutions that contribute to making an important contribution to preserving cultural diversity as a positive value for the wealth and integration of civil societies.
