Salernitana's first point in the championship came at the end of a match that seemed lost after 40 minutes.
Down by two goals in the first half hour, the team Beavers finds the strength to take the Scaligeri back to 2-2. Also thanks to a bit of luck that materializes in the form of woodwork: those that first reject a shot from Kalinic and then a punishment of Barak two minutes from the 90th minute.
In the end, a hard-earned point that allows the Granata to move up the standings. Yet the match had started badly for Castori's men. Salernitana's defense turned out to be made of butter and for the Verona It's child's play to get the game back on track.
It only took the Scaligeri just seven turns of the clock to break through the door A white man: Goats surprises the grenades on the left, serves Kalinic in the center who beats everyone with the tip, scoring a goal like a predator in the penalty area. Down by a goal, Castori's team swerves again and almost allows Barak to double the score (10') but Belec is attentive and blocks.
Ribery tries to take the Granata by the hand and at times succeeds: cross from the right by the Frenchman, Simy heads it but finishes wide from an excellent position. At 20' it is once again the Granata champion who lights up, serving to Gagliolo an assist that the defender fires into the curve. At Salernitana's best moment, Verona doubles the score: Caprari sets up the counterattack, Ilic launches Kalinic who beats Belec with a delightful lob.
One minute later Strandberg manages to beat Barak by a hair's breadth, avoiding the 3-0. But just when Salernitana seems destined to end up on the canvas, the episode arrives that revives them: free kick by Ribery (46'), Strandberg heads it to Gondo who manages to beat the ball from the centre of the penalty area Montipo'. At the start of the second half, Tudor immediately makes a double substitution (Tameze and Casale come on) and almost manages to close the game: Kalinic breaks through into the penalty area and shoots with power, the ball hits the top corner and 'spares' Salernitana.
This time, the Granata did not falter and after having come close to equalising with Djuric who 'misses' the ball a few steps from the line, finds the equaliser after half an hour with Mamadou Coulibaly, good at taking advantage of a cross-shot from Gagliolo and beating Montipo'. Two minutes from the end, however, it is Verona who make the 10 at the Arechi tremble: a masterly free kick from Barak that crashes into the top corner.
It's 2.2, a result that repays Salernitana for the bad luck that had characterised the match lost on Saturday againstAtalanta and leaves a bitter taste in the mouth of Verona revitalized by Tudor.
