Saint George. Schools, safety and efficiency. The administration led by Mayor Giorgio Zinno, continues the planning of interventions on school facilities and adds further improvement works in some facilities, in order to make the city's schools even more welcoming and safe.
In fact, the restyling works of the Rodari complex have been completed, to which have been added the recovery and improvement works of the adjacent Malaguzzi complex, both belonging to the Massimo Troisi IC.
In agreement with the deputy mayor and councilor for Public Works, Eva Lambiase, a few months ago the facades of the Rodari complex, which houses the elementary school classes, were renovated. The work also included painting them and all the railings, as well as the window frames.
In the context of these extraordinary maintenance activities already scheduled, it was decided to also intervene on the smaller Malaguzzi complex (known as the former CRI) which houses the nursery school, with the same works: that is, on the facades and on the fixtures. This is thanks to an economic planning that has allowed the institution to increase the number of interventions and thanks to the efficiency of the technical office which completed the works simultaneously and in a short time.
The colors of the facades of both buildings, as well as those of the window frames and railings, were chosen in agreement with the school principal Antonietta Maiello, with whom the administration works in constant synergy to improve the activities that concern the school community. Last year, again at the Rodari school, the entire roof was waterproofed and 5 new bathrooms were built, one of which is for disabled people.
“We give and will always give the utmost attention to schools,” said Mayor Giorgio Zinno, “identifying priorities to always guarantee our school community the best conditions to carry out educational activities in safety, in increasingly welcoming structures created to suit children.”
The investigation into the sudden kidnapping last April of the minor son of San Giorgio a Cremano businessman Pino Maddaluno has opened two new lines of inquiry. One concerns the alleged connections with local politicians, including prominent ones, of Renato Franco, 28, identified as a man close to the Aprea clan of Barra. The man…
Naples – "If the police find me, you won't find your son." It's a descent into hell that lasts hours, punctuated by the agonizing rhythm of text messages on a cell phone. NAPLES – The Circumvesuviana is shut down for construction. On Sunday, November 16, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, the railway line between San Giorgio a Cremano and Torre del Greco will be completely closed to allow for the installation of the new overpass at the Ercolano station, part of the redevelopment project included in the "Smart Station" program. The project, financed with FCS 2014/2020 funds for a total of €28 million, aims to modernize the entire network and improve station accessibility.
The construction of the overpass—which will replace the current underpass—requires the use of heavy-duty machinery and the work must be carried out safely and in daylight. For this reason, EAV has decided to concentrate the closure in the early afternoon, a time slot considered to have low traffic demand.
