"Satellite” is the new single from The Doubtful Bottle, English indie-rock band from North Yorkshire.
Registered at The Metway Recording Studio di Brighton (Nick Cave, Royal Blood) with the help of the producer Jake Rousham , already working with artists such as The Who, “Satellite” was released on August 20th by Neil Grant Music Publishing.
In an increasingly difficult world, “Satellite” is a hymn to optimism, positivity, emotions and genuine feelings. A love song that revolves around the theme of the universe and wants to convey joy.
Led by the songwriter John Gillies and from the singer Genevieve Gillies with the addition of the guitarist Lee Potter, the bass player Nathan Reeves and the drummer Jim Beadle, the band continues to make people talk about them after the excellent critical and public feedback obtained in the United Kingdom and in other European countries including Italy, where they toured in 2019.
Their folk background led them to work with the legend Judy Dyble (Fairport Convention), while John and Genevieve's vocal interplay and the mix of indie-rock and grunge gave birth to a sensual and energetic noise, supported by catchy melodies and frenetic rhythms.
The Doubtful Bottle debuted in 2017 with the successful single “Can't Climb Any Higher” (2017), followed by “Waiting For Love","trickery"Ed"Eye".
