Scampia. The area below the Asse Mediano overpass in the Scampia area seems to have become a sort of illegal landfill where cellar cleaners and construction companies abandon waste material, bulky items and various furnishings. The report comes from a citizen who reported the issue to the Regional Councilor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
"First of all, we asked Asia to proceed with the remediation of the area and we forwarded the video sent to us by the citizen to the police so that they can proceed with the identification and reporting of the dumpers. However, we must now adopt drastic countermeasures by installing camera traps at least in all those critical areas, where illegal dumping is the order of the day, to stop the uncivilized and these environmental criminals. The only way to stem the phenomenon is to provide exemplary punishments, we can no longer be tolerant." – commented Councilor Borrelli.
