“After Sevel, today Stellantis CEO Tavares visited the Pomigliano and Nola plants.

The launch of the new Alfa Romeo Tonale model, which the company plans to ensure full employment, has suffered several delays also due to the health emergency.
There remain all the uncertainties about the future of the new Panda, a car that has mitigated the negative impacts in a condition of lack of investments.

On September 14th the social safety nets that should have guaranteed the start of production at Tonale will expire, but until its start it will be necessary to continue using the redundancy fund with economic losses that are no longer sustainable for the workers.

Today's meeting between CEO Tavares and workers' delegates did not bring any news or guarantees on the future of the Campania plant. It is urgent to address the current crisis. Measures and investments are needed that aim - in the ongoing transformations - to guarantee employment and decent wages.

The reopening of the discussion table at the Mise on the industrial and employment plan of the factories in Italy can no longer be postponed by the Government and the company".

This was declared in a joint note by Simone Marinelli, national automotive coordinator for Fiom-Cgil and Mario Di Costanzo, automotive manager for Fiom-Cgil Naples
