Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, spoke about the international transfer market and especially about Real Madrid, a major player in the summer just ended, especially due to the events in the negotiations for Kylian Mbappé.

Many insiders have criticized Real Madrid's transfer strategy, which saw them offer as much as €180 million to acquire the French striker right away, despite his contract expiring in 2022. Tebas commented on the situation: "Real Madrid haven't lost money and have sold players for €200 million. They have enough cash to buy both Haaland and Mbappé."

Despite the monstrous offer, Paris Saint-Germain, however, put up a defensive stance and rejected it. The Spanish league president can't explain the "no": "It's incomprehensible: they're losing €400 million, have a €500 million salary, and they're saying no to similar offers," he told El Partidazo de Cope. "They're harming the European market by violating the control rules."

There was no shortage of provocation towards UEFA: "Their system is flawed, we're going in exactly the opposite direction from where we should be going. We need to find investors, but instead there are clubs who would rather win the Champions League and lose a billion euros just to make the fans happy."
