Land of Fires: illegal carpentry shop closed

Land of fires. As part of the activities of repression and prevention of the illegal abandonment of waste from domestic, industrial and agricultural users, also aimed at illegal landfills, the "Campania" Group of the Italian Army based on the "Guide" Cavalry Regiment (19th), according to the directives established by the Person in Charge of combating the phenomenon of fires in the Campania region within the "Land of Fires", carried out an extraordinary control operation against illegal disposal and on the prevention of industrial, artisanal and commercial fires in the municipalities of Parete and Orta di Atella.

The control activities and the information search of the targets see the use of the Raven asset (Italian Army drones specialized in information search) with aerial overflights to support the operational activities on the ground in identifying areas intended for illicit dumping and possible related activities. In this regard, the targets, reported in the coordination phase following an analysis of the images for the completion of the information, have led to the achievement of operational results.

On September 27, Italian Army crews together with patrols of the Municipal Police of Parete and Orta d'Atella, carried out road checkpoints in their respective municipalities. In particular, in Orta d'Atella 14 people were identified (of which 4 fined), 14 vehicles checked. Fines were also issued for a total of 1000 euros.

On the morning of September 28, in the municipality of Parete, a crew of the Italian Army together with a patrol of the Municipal Police, carried out checks at a carpentry shop that was found to be illegal, identified 3 people (one of whom was reported) and seized 650 square meters of area. They then carried out checks on waste dumping areas, at the end of which fines for a total of 600 euros were imposed.
