Vaccines: "Let's team up." This slogan marks the launch of the vaccination campaign designed by the Naples 2 North Local Health Authority (ASL) for younger people, aiming to expand coverage among those under 20 before the start of autumn.
Currently, there are approximately 50 people vaccinated with at least one dose in the 12/19 age group residing in the territory of the ASL Napoli 2 Nord, a number that will have to be increased rapidly in the coming weeks to ensure the regular resumption of school activities, as well as sports and recreational activities.
With this objective, a traveling tour of the schools and squares of the area will begin on Friday, September 3, using two vaccination campers. The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be used and it will not be necessary to book; minors under 18 will only be able to get vaccinated if accompanied by their parents. Antonio d'Amore, general director of the ASL Napoli 2 Nord explains:
"Young people often know better than adults what it means to 'team up': each person working on their own to achieve a common result that would be impossible to achieve alone. This is exactly the condition of the current vaccination phase: at this moment, everyone's commitment is crucial to reducing the impact of the pandemic and allowing a restart of ordinary activities. I thank school principals and mayors for their excellent collaboration."
This new tour, divided into nine stages in six days, will touch the municipalities of Caivano, Casalnuovo, Giugliano, Qualiano and Quarto. The complete calendar of appointments can be found on the Local Health Authority page.
