Il Belvedere di San Leucio is preparing to host another evening of great cinema as part of the 'Vanvitelli under the stars', promoted by Confcommercio Caserta in collaboration with the Municipality.
Saturday 4rd September the director will take the stage at 21pm Tony D'Angelo to present his latest film '9 caliber', a merciless fresco on the 'ndrangheta, one of the most influential criminal organisations in the world, and above all a tribute to 'Milan Caliber 9', a famous 70s crime film much loved by fans of the genre, of which this film ideally represents the sequel.
In the new version there are in fact many references to the original project: characters, names, quotes and even an actress – Barbara bouchet – who was also part of the cast in the 1972 feature film. The story is that of Fernando Piazza, a criminal lawyer, played by Marco Bocci, son of a criminal who had terrorized Milan in the Seventies but educated by his mother to respect the law and institutions to guarantee him an existence different from that of his father.
However, when over one hundred million euros disappear following a computer scam, and the main suspect turns out to be one of Fernando's clients, the lawyer will find himself involved in a daring escape to escape retaliation from the company that suffered the scam and behind which the 'ndrangheta is hiding. The cast also includes Alessio Boni, Ksenia Rappoport, Michele Placido.
