Villaricca. Attempted extortion for a fake accident: two young people arrested.
The investigating judge of the Court of Naples North has issued an order of house arrest against Crescenzo Basile, 28 years old and Salvatore Junior Gentile, 29 years old for attempted extortion.
The investigations, conducted by the Carabinieri of the Qualiano station under the coordination of the Aversa prosecutor's office, allowed to document the attempted extortion orchestrated by the two young men from Villaricca, already known to the police.
Place of events via Giacinto Gigante, in the municipality of Qualiano. It was last August 20 and the two, on board a small car, simulated a collision with a second vehicle. They then chased the driver and after having stopped him they threatened him, demanding immediate compensation for the damage caused.
The victim did not give in and alerted the Carabinieri, sending Basile and Gentile fleeing.
But that wasn't enough. The next day, the two reached the victim's home, repeating threats and demanding money.
This time too, the requests were not followed up but ended up in a complaint to the Carabinieri.
Having reconstructed the entire affair, the judicial authority issued the precautionary measure of house arrest against Basile and Gentile.
