"Water of the Sky”, the new single from the singer-songwriter Liet, released today, October 8th, is the darkest song on the album and is inspired by a poem by Franco Fortini.
The sounds recall the The Cure, New Order and Joy Division, . This piece brings with it a real climax, in fact it closes with a very strong explosion that represents the victory over confusion.
About the new single Liet says: “I had just arrived in Milan, I thought I was doing a thousand things and instead nothing was happening to me. I was just shedding so many tears, as if they were so much water from the sky. My discomfort found its space and I started to live with it without being constantly tormented by confusion. “Acqua del Cielo” comes out as the second single because it is a song that deserves its space, the arrangement that recalls new wave sounds helps to recreate a strong energy that I tried to express with the words… the ending is to be discovered!”.
Giulia Baldissera, aka Liet, is a singer-songwriter born in Treviso in 1997. At the age of 10 she approached music and during high school she founded a band with which she began to perform in the Treviso area. In 2016, she moved to Milan to continue her studies and began to write her first songs and perform them in some Milanese clubs, accompanying herself on the guitar or sometimes with the participation of other musicians.
In 2020, with the intention of publishing his first album that collects the songs written between 2016 and 2019, the Liet project was born. The album took shape following the meeting with the producer Andrea Lombardini and was recorded in May 2020. Last May 27th, “Che mi lasci dietro” was released, the first single distributed by Artist First followed by “Acqua del cielo”. The song anticipates the album “Eterna”, produced by Andrea Lombardini and available from next October 22nd.
