The EP of the Novaffair: "Either/Or”. The album includes 5 alternative rock tracks with an Anglo-Saxon flavour, created with the support of the Milanese record label Accannone Records by Max Martulli, the historic tour manager of Afterhours and Levante.
“Aut Aut” by Novaffair is the crossroads, the choice between what we can and cannot be, between what we want and don’t want to do.
“Aut Aut”, in fact, represents the core, the substance and the will to express a sincere way to get in touch with the music of the Neapolitan band. A mature project in alternative rock key, with references to the 90s, not disdaining new and contemporary trends.
Of the 5 tracks, 2 are accompanied by a video clip available on YouTube. We start with “Weekend”, directed by Alessandro Freschi (Frè), with a leading role for Carlo Caracciolo, actor of Gomorra – The series, which deals with the concept of dichotomy. The desire to be other than oneself in this space that is the weekend, transposed into a virtual world in which one can be invincible.
The protagonist moves in search of someone in an underground city scenario, but he will discover that two separate worlds can collide. Only one can be reality. Then comes “Sottosopra”, directed by Vincenzo Russo, which instead tells of a life full of images: our mistakes, missed opportunities, wasted time, and the need to look back.
A man walks alone and remembers. Visions of times gone by and life lived, of joy and fun, of nostalgia and the present, pass by. Life passes before your eyes like a movie.
The other 3 songs are: “Io sono la neve”, which leads to reflect on relationships between people, especially when you are closed, reserved, cold, you meet and clash but you cannot always be saved; “La resa”, a vortex in which you continually get lost and find yourself in an empty room, you fight for something that is no longer there but that can become the first stone on which to build a new story, a new life; “Nessuna ragione”, a game between what we see and experience every day.
A humanity that has lost its way, a humanity that finds peace in making war without ever asking why.
