This is a territorial health facility capable of providing short-term health care, reserved for those patients who, although not suffering from acute pathologies, cannot be adequately cared for at home.
The announcement of the new health facility was given by the mayor, Josi Gerardo Della Ragione immediately after the approval of the resolution in the Council for the new structure. The facility, which will be located in the historic center in via Gaetano De Rosa, in a municipal building, will be built with European funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
“It is a residential facility for short-term health care,” explains Mayor Della Ragione, “and will have at least 20 beds. Health care will be provided by doctors and nurses who will be continuously present in the facility, supported by social-health workers and other professionals. It is a turning point for the city,” he concludes, “which expands and improves public health services for the entire community. In addition to promoting an economic spin-off for the area.”
The project is already at an advanced stage since, as the mayor himself informs, the ASL Napoli 2 Nord has carried out inspections to verify its feasibility and on an administrative level they are proceeding to define the concession of the property on loan for use by the municipality to the ASL.
