A few days after her death in November 2019, a 50-year-old man walled up his 80-year-old mother's body in a closet in a home in Buccinasco (Milan) so he could continue receiving her pension of approximately €1.700 a month.

The Carabinieri reported this in a note, explaining that late last Saturday evening, the Carabinieri of the Corsico Company (Milan) intervened in the house in Buccinasco following a report from the man's partner, who had shown up at a Carabinieri station in the Pavia area.

Tracked down shortly after by the military and taken to the barracks, the man, a 50-year-old with no criminal record, admitted to all the circumstances and explained that he had walled up his mother's body in the bedroom closet a few days after her death, wrapping it in plastic bags that he had covered with clay and wood.

The inspection was carried out by personnel from the Investigative Unit of Milan in the presence of the coroner, who requested the intervention of personnel from the laboratory of anthropology and forensic odontology of the Institute of Legal Medicine of Milan, after which the autopsy will be carried out. The house was seized by order of the judicial authority which also ordered the seizure of the bank accounts of the 50-year-old who was reported for concealment of a corpse and aggravated fraud against the State.
