Casavatore, hunt for robbers with Kalashnikovs

Casavatore. Investigators are on the trail of two Kalashnikov-wielding robbers who caused panic in a restaurant on Saturday night.

Four watches (including a Rolex and a Tudor) and a gold necklace: this is the loot from the robbery that took place last Saturday evening. The two robbers had no qualms about pointing their guns at the families present with children in tow to get them to give up what they had in their possession.

Some phases of the robbery are contained in a video from the surveillance cameras of the restaurant that ended up in the crosshairs: they were broadcast by Internapoli and Nanotv and relaunched by the regional councilor of Campania, Francesco Emilio Borrelli.

The hooded criminals also used a Kalashnikov. The Carabinieri are investigating: they have interviewed the people present and the owners of the place, in addition to acquiring the images. “I spoke to the owner of the place and he told me that he had immediately had a significant reduction in customers – says Borrelli – it was a serious episode: criminals armed to the teeth, the robbery could have turned into a massacre.
