Drug dealing was cracked down on in the so-called "Palazzi Grimaldi" in Castel Volturno, a place regularly frequented by drug addicts.
The Carabinieri of the Santa Maria Capua Vetere company have executed a precautionary custody order against 10 people, two of whom are currently unaccounted for, held responsible, to varying degrees, for the illegal possession and sale of narcotics.
The investigation, coordinated by the Santa Maria Capua Vetere Public Prosecutor's Office and conducted by the Carabinieri of the Grazzanise station between September 2019 and February 2020, led to the identification of what is described as "an alarming drug dealing phenomenon" near the so-called Grimaldi Palaces. Specifically, 12 individuals, both Italian and non-EU, were identified as being involved in the sale of cocaine, heroin, hashish, and marijuana, as well as the identification of approximately 200 incidents of supply.

During the investigation, approximately 360 grams of various types of drugs were seized. During the execution of the warrant, a search was conducted inside the property, which had already been seized in 2019 as part of another criminal case pending before the Santa Maria Capua Vetere Prosecutor's Office. This search led to the identification of six individuals, including an Italian woman and five non-EU citizens illegally residing in Italy. They were charged with the crime of breaching security.
Six precautionary measures were carried out to apply custody in prison against the suspects, including a non-EU citizen who has been a fugitive since 6, and two precautionary measures to apply house arrest.
