A Chinese man who set his ex-wife on fire while she was livestreaming on social media with her followers was sentenced to death in a Tibet autonomous prefecture on Thursday.
Cnn reports it.
The victim – Lhamo, a 30-year-old farmer – was livestreaming last month from a Tibet Autonomous Prefecture in the southwestern province of Sichuan when the man – Tang Lum – entered her home and doused it with gasoline before setting it on fire.
The woman died two weeks later. According to CCTV, she will also have to compensate the victim's family.
The two divorced in June 2020 due to his repeated abuse of Tang Lum. After the divorce, she consistently rejected her ex's requests to remarry.
