Manila expressed its willingness, enthusiastically welcomed by the publisher Rosario Bianco, to support the Umberto Veronesi Foundation – for the advancement of science, with the book, which offers the reader a story of his life, in which he does not hold back and from which emerges a fresco that recalls a "roller coaster", made of great joys and great sorrows; of successes and defeats; of values and love.
An autobiography born from the need to give strength and courage to all the women who, suddenly, found themselves catapulted into a life full of shadows and loneliness, broken by a piercing pain that returns in their darkest nightmares. Discovering that inside them there is a life and that that life suddenly goes away, taking with it the immense happiness of becoming mothers.
Manila began to reveal and share her pain on her social media channels, and slowly, that overwhelming sense of loneliness was filled with other stories like hers.
