Caserta. The Carabinieri of the Caserta Company, at the conclusion of a specific coordinated service aimed at combating widespread illegality carried out by the dependent departments, have arrested a 21-year-old from Gambia, without a fixed abode in Italy, in execution of the order of aggravation that orders house arrest issued by the Court of Appeal of Naples following repeated violations of the measure of the ban on residence in the Campania Region.
The man had been arrested by the same Carabinieri personnel on 27 May and 27 September last year and placed under house arrest for "possession and dealing of narcotics".
During the same activity, the military personnel of the Arma, in the countryside of the municipality of Caserta, Casertavecchia hamlet, hidden among the vegetation, found and seized a machine gun mod. “sten” cal. 9×19 with erased serial number, perfectly functional as well as 1.121 cal. 9 cartridges; 42 smi cal. 6.5×52 cartridges.
They also reported to the State of Freedom for "possession of narcotic substances": a 49-year-old, a 24-year-old and a 26-year-old all from Caserta who, following a house search at their homes, were found in possession respectively of one, one and two marijuana plants, precision scales and material for packaging the doses.
Three further reports were made in a State of Freedom against three people caught driving their cars while intoxicated.
