One year and ten months for serious personal injuries on the road and failure to provide assistance for Vasco's son, Davide Rossi: the 35-year-old born in Pagani, in the province of Salerno
The court of Rome sentenced Davide Rossi to one year and ten months on charges of serious personal injury on the road and failure to provide assistance. His license was also revoked. The proceedings were ordered for the accident that occurred on September 16, 2016 in the Roman neighborhood of Balduina.
Together with Davide Rossi, the other defendant Simone Spadano was also sentenced to nine months: the thirty-year-old who was in the car with him, accused of aiding and abetting for having made a false statement by affirming that he was the driver at the time of the accident.
"I'm outraged, justice is dead. There was even a signed cid to testify everything, they took the insurance money, it's really absurd, I can't explain it", said Davide Rossi on the sidelines of the sentencing for the road accident that occurred in Rome in September 2016.
“Unfortunately I think this also happened because my father is a prominent person - he added -. We will appeal and hope that justice will triumph in the end”.
For the lawyer Fabrizio Consiglio, defender of the other defendant Simone Spadano, “his innocence will be demonstrated, we will appeal”.
Davide Rossi did not stop at the stop sign, then collided with a car in which two women were traveling who were injured. After the collision, the singer's son left the scene of the accident without providing assistance.
The Rome Prosecutor's Office had requested a 2-year and 8-month prison sentence for Rossi Jr.
