Minors. One hundred thousand euros for the construction of new burial niches at the cemetery of Minori. The sum is not allocated by the Municipality, but rather the result of a spontaneous donation by a devoted admirer of the City of Taste, the artist Carlo Di Spirito, a painter and sculptor originally from Sessa Aurunca, who, with his American wife, loved to stay in Minori.

When the woman died prematurely, Di Spirito wanted her buried in the municipal cemetery of Minori, overlooking the sea. And to renew his boundless affection for the place where his beloved wife has been resting for four years, the artist living in Montecarlo has made available to the Municipality the resources necessary to create new tombs in an undeveloped space in the cemetery.

The amount was deposited with the notary Filippo Ansalone of Salerno and the powers entrusted to Mr. Genesio Amatino of Minori. A gesture that the community, through the mayor Andrea Reale, welcomed with gratitude.

The letter written by the mayor reads: "The considerable sum that you have decided to donate for the improvement of our beautiful cemetery, testifies first of all to the consideration and affection that you have always had towards the city and its citizens, an affection that has been amply reciprocated over the long years of frequentation by you and your family".

“Among the opportunities that your generosity makes possible, there is also that of setting up an elevator for access to the upper levels, which would be extremely useful and appreciated by the users – explains the mayor to the artist – I assure you that we will commit ourselves to making it happen. In confirming to you once again the gratitude and esteem of all the citizens, I also confirm to you the sincere and enduring friendship of the entire Minori, a feeling consolidated over time and that will never fail”.

The tension on the project of the tunnel The road between Minori and Maiori, on the Amalfi Coast, is rising. ANAS has officially published the notice initiating the procedure for the imposition of a pre-expropriation restriction, relating to the disputed tunnel bypass on the SS163 (Torre Mezzacapo – NA286). This move triggered an immediate and harsh reaction from the "No Tunnel Minori–Maiori" committee, which has long opposed the project.

With the publication of the notice, a crucial and limited time window now opens: interested citizens, associations, and operators have only 30 days to submit formal written comments on the project. The committee asserts its vigilance on this point, stating that it "nipped in the bud the policy of advertising that was only necessary to comply with the law and avoid excessive participation."
