Sorrento. Macaron, alfajores, nut fruitcake, melktert, pumpkin pie, barfi, baklava, ongol, berliner brot. These are just some of the delicacies prepared by the Sorrento celebrity pastry chef, Antonio Cafiero for a “sweet” welcome to the G20 of Commerce, which will take shape in these days right in Sorrento.
On the occasion of the arrival in the city of ministers, delegations and journalists from all over, inside the Primavera ice cream shop in Corso Italia, Cafiero set up a spectacular table, overflowing with sweet specialties, typical of the countries involved in the prestigious event, with a rich and fragrant tiramisu in the center, representing Italy.
"Many of these sweets - explains Cafiero - have very ancient origins and almost all have in common the use, among the main ingredients, of dried fruit, a notoriously lucky symbol. I chose - he continues - to follow this common thread to wish this important event set in Sorrento, fruitful and positive results for everyone".
From today to Tuesday, curious people, journalists and representatives of the 20 most industrialized countries in the world, if they want, will have the opportunity to taste the many international delights prepared by Cafiero… as a sign of welcome, friendship and inclusion.
