From now, Friday October 8, will be available on the radio, on digital platforms and in all digital stores "My leftovers”, the new single from the Brescia band The Electric Vacuum.
The song anticipates the release of the new album “Root” scheduled for October 15th.
"The origin of the lack of empathy is the fruit of the sick communication that we have experienced since we were little. – declares the band – silences and screams have built protection systems, automatisms that cannot help but accompany us for the rest of our lives. “The plate with leftovers” is what remains when you come out of a situation of great suffering and find yourself facing life without the necessary preparation to understand what is happening inside us. Even in this song, as in the rest of the album, there is a pregnant feeling of recrimination, the accusation directed at someone of having ruined everything from the beginning. Finally the threat to pay back with the same coin those who have betrayed the transmission of human feeling (“smearing the DNA” and “passing the worm”). This single for us is the ideal crowbar to access the themes of the entire album: Absence, Lack and Loss. This song is about “Loss” and its distorted and sick guitars are the trademark of the group, accompanied by a tight and particularly “dramatic” rhythm. For the group it was immediately clear that it had to open the album and represent the first single”.
Vuoto Elettrico was born between Bergamo and Brescia in 2014. The name of the group takes inspiration from the title of the second album of one of the best Italian post-rock/noise groups: Six Minute War Madness. In May they decided to work on their debut album and turned to Fabio Magistrali (Afterhours, Il Santo Niente, Ritmo Tibale, Cristina Donà, Bugo, Perturbazione, Marta sui tubi, Six Minute War Madness, A Short Apnea, Punkreas, Scisma) for the artistic production, a humanist, manipulator of sound matter and the best producer of the national indie scene.
"viral” was released in 2015 thanks to a co-production between the Savona label DreaminGorilla Records and Banksville Records of London. The next work materialized a year later: the artistic production was entrusted this time to Xabier Iriondo (guitarist of Afterhours, Todo Modo, Bunuel) who is recruited for his ability to deal with every project he decides to deal with in an extremely radical way. The new album “dream” (released in 2017 with the support of a group of three labels, “i Dischi del Minollo”, “DreaminGorilla Records” and “La Stalla Domestica”) is a new concept focused on the seasons of life as a metaphor for the permanence of an individual within a house and the individual rooms that compose it. At the end of June 2020 the group recorded the new album “Radice” in Florence.
The artistic production is entrusted to Marco L. Lega, the beating mind of the first albums of the Marlene Kuntz (Catartica, The Vile, I killed paranoia, Weightless). The album features a prestigious collaboration, the one with Pierpaolo Capovilla (Il Teatro degli Orrori, One Dimensional Man, I Cattivi Maestri) who co-wrote the lyrics of “Il Temporale” and lent his voice to the recording of the piece. The album will be released on October 15th with a co-production Maninalto! / I Dischi del Minollo (Audioglobe Distribution). During the two tours to promote “Virale” and “Traum” Il Vuoto Elettrico played as the opening act for: A Toys Orchestra, Ulan Bator, Devocka, Edda, Pierpaolo Capovilla, covering a good part of northern Italy with more than 70 live dates.
