“Although the Consolidated Law on Local Authorities and the Accounting Regulations of the Authority provide for a deadline of 30 September for the approval of the consolidated budget, to date this matter has not yet been brought to the attention of the City Council.
This is serious, very serious, because without the approval of this document the Municipality cannot by law proceed with new hiring. In short, the Mayor and the majority do nothing but complain about the lack of staff in the Authority, but do nothing to solve one of the main problems of the administrative machine.
But this is just one of the many examples of the sloppiness, incompetence and even bad faith with which Salvati “does not” lead the city.
On social policies, for example, they made a real mess of the resolution to establish the Comunità Sensibile company, wrong the first time, questionable the second time, a mess that continued with the publication on the public notice board of a notice for the appointment of a member of the Board of Directors of the new company, when however such appointment should not be up to the Mayor, but to the assembly of Mayors.
Unless, of course, we are faced with backroom agreements for political division between Salvati and the other Mayors in question.
We also learn from the press of a request for compensation of approximately 20 MILLION Euros by the canning company La Regina, with which a year ago the administration signed an agreement granting a building permit that led to the concreting of over 50.000 square meters of land, in via Nuova San Marzano, without any serious analysis of the environmental impact and the consequences on the sewer system (does it exist?) that this would have entailed.
In the meantime, there is no further news on the matter.
