Irpinia, 17 out of 33 mayors confirmed. Avellino president also elected

Seventeen mayors have been reconfirmed in the 33 municipalities of Irpinia, who mostly report to the president of the Campania region De Luca

Voter turnout was 62%, 65.480 voters out of 100 eligible voters, in contrast to regional and national data.

Among the reconfirmed mayors, the seven candidates who only faced the quorum as opponents, no other list having presented itself.

The elected mayors mainly refer to the center-left area, in particular to the regional councilors of Irpinia who support the president of the Region, Vincenzo De Luca.

Among the newly elected, Angelo Antonio D'Agostino, former parliamentarian of Scelta Civica. The entrepreneur and president of Us Avellino in his Montefalcione he won with over 70% of the votes over his challenger Rossella Baldassarre, daughter of the outgoing mayor Maria Antonietta Belli.

Continuity which instead has established itself in Avella where Vincenzo Biancardi takes over the office of mayor from his brother Domenico, current president of the Province of Avellino, who ran as a simple councilor after two consecutive terms.

The only woman elected mayor is Vincenza Casse a ScampitellaStefania Di Cicilia, outgoing mayor of Villamaina, was not reconfirmed.
