Saturday October 9 2021, at 18,00:XNUMX pm, ribbon cutting for the XVI edition “The Mugs Festival“, an artistic and food and wine event organised by theHumus Onlus Volunteer Association, chaired by Lauretta Laureti.
Humus Onlus has been promoting the art of ceramics as a tool for solidarity and cultural growth, communication and aggregation, promotion and social integration for over 21 years.
The location is the same as always, Villa Guariglia in Raito di Vietri sul Mare, suspended between sea and sky, which every year attracts numerous ceramic and art enthusiasts, collectors and the curious.
At the Festa dei Boccali, new and old artists, disabled people, volunteers and sympathizers of the event will also meet, stigmatizing, with their active presence, the importance and value of voluntary action.
There are 50 artists involved in the event and 500 ceramic mugs, through the sale of which a gesture of solidarity is renewed, in which art also becomes a tool for aggregation, support and social growth: with the proceeds the voluntary association Humus Onlus will be able to continue to dedicate itself to the disabled and elderly, many of whom have found in ceramics an expressive potential.
Among the mugs on sale are also those made by the guests of the Salerno prison, assisted by maestro Benvenuto Apicella. The mugs will be used to taste the wine that will accompany the dishes of the Salerno culinary tradition, prepared by the students of the “R. Virtuoso” hotel professional institute of Salerno.
