Maddaloni. At 4 o'clock this morning a Intercity Train hit a white Fiat 500 that was trapped inside the barriers of the rail crossing of Pioppolungo Street.
The Carabinieri of the local Company and the agents of the Polfer warned by the train conductor. According to the first reconstruction, the driver of the 500, a 32-year-old woman from Maddaloni, tried to cross the level crossing before it closed, because she was in a hurry to get home. But she got stuck between the bars.
She managed to get out of the car and save herself but the train hit her car reducing it to a pile of scrap metal. The young woman was taken to the hospital for tests due more to her state of shock. Rail traffic suspended between Maddaloni and Cancello.
