Doctors Without Borders has been working for years in favor of all populations fleeing from the burdens tormented by war. These are extremely difficult situations, in areas that often do not have the adequate structures to deal with all the emergencies they experience daily. For this reason there is the constant need for help from us, concrete help in the form of a monetary donation that can help Doctors Without Borders in its humanitarian mission.

How to donate to Doctors Without Borders

There are many ways to make a donation. The most convenient way is to rely on donations online; on the Doctors Without Borders website, in fact, you can find all the information on the many ways to make a contribution to the cause. Once you have made your payment, you will have access to the donor area, a section of the site where the donations made up to that point will be visible, and all the payment methods chosen. Let's see specifically how to support MSF.

“Classic” donation

This is the simplest. All the information is available on the website; once you have entered your personal data you can choose whether to make a single donation or a recurring one. There are multiple payment methods: credit card, bank transfer, Satispay etc. Donate with PayPal if you find it more comfortable, you can do it PayPal online donations similarly, by entering it in your preferences as your chosen payment method.

Five per thousand

This is also certainly a convenient and minimally invasive method to contribute to the cause. The five per thousand is allocated to a charity of your choice during the tax return; it is a percentage of your IRPEF payment which is automatically donated by the state and varies, obviously, based on the amount of state contributions to be paid.

Testament

In this case the case law is broader. If you have no heirs, you can leave part or all of your inheritance to Doctors Without Borders through a will. The most convenient way is to take out an insurance policy, which is independent of the heirs and can have a beneficiary chosen by the de cuius. But it is also possible to leave a specific sum of money, the entire estate, or movable assets (cars, jewelry, valuables) and immovable property.

Donation in memory

With the donation in memory you can ensure that the entire operation is dedicated to a particular person, missing or in difficulty. Once the payment has been made, Doctors Without Borders itself will send the family of the person to whom you want to make the dedication a letter that reports your exact words when filling out the form.

Gifts and merchandising

Doctors Without Borders also produces merchandising items such as t-shirts, notebooks, mugs, pens, pencils, etc. By purchasing them you can contribute to the cause. All proceeds from the sale will go to humanitarian missions around the world.

Become a partner

If you own a business or a small or medium-sized enterprise and donate to Doctors Without Borders you can become a partner and further help the non-profit organization involving your employees or getting involved in the distribution of its merchandising.

Major Donations

For anyone still wondering how the funds earmarked for charities are used, a detailed report is available on the Doctors Without Borders website. In the case of large sums donated, for example, by a philanthropist, it is possible to immediately see how they will be spent based on the amount.

These are just some of the possibilities that Doctors Without Borders offers. Remember, also that donations in Italy are deductible or tax deductible, both for businesses and individuals. One more reason to help the Onlus in its difficult, yet noble, mission.
