CampaniaIt was March 2018, after the assignment session for the areas lacking in general medicine 2016, where there were disputes regarding the assignment percentages for transfers, that the light bulb went on that in Campania for access to the Profession in General Medicine was at the limits of transparency and legality.
We began to denounce the serious criticality in the media, addressing the highest authorities of the Campania Health Service, culminating in two demonstrations, the first, on November 9, 2018 and the second, on May 10, 2019, both ending with a meeting with the regional institutions, without, however, having had a concrete response at those moments.
On May 10, 2019, there was a meeting with Antonella Ciaramella, regional councilor at the time. The Hon. Ciaramella listened to us and helped us in a concrete way, trying to use every means to be able to give a manager to a regional office, where chaos and approximation reigned supreme, with the consequence of delays in publication and assignment of the areas lacking in general medicine.
On September 1, 2020, the manager arrives: Dr. Annamaria Ferriero, with the role of Manager for the "Implementation of the Regional Territorial Health Care Plan", who does an exceptional job, computerizing the applications for inclusion and updating in the regional ranking of general medicine and for the application for participation in the assignment of the areas lacking in general medicine, in addition to continuously pressing the AASSLL to speed up the detection of the actual vacant areas, so that the Citizenship without family doctors, could have the new doctors.
We, Doctors without Careers, have continued our reporting action and we ourselves have pressured the managers of the seven Campania companies, so that they quickly communicate all the areas lacking to the Campania Region, for their publication; on this we have not yet achieved the maximum because the areas lacking in general medicine have not been detected in real numbers in each company, but we are certain that this criticality will be resolved.
On October 14, the session for the assignment of the areas lacking Primary Care 2021 ended: the last doctor, who was assigned the area of Ischia-Casamicciola is Dr. Sabatino Russo with a score in the regional ranking of 10,30. A result unthinkable until a year ago.

We can now say that for access to General Medicine, the Campania Region is now a normal region.
